Grade 5/6 News

Charlie Rees, Ruby Everitt, Bridie Willett and Caitlin Lewis (absent) were all smiles when their speeches were nominated for the Lions Club Competition. 

The girls will go onto the next stage of the School Level Competition to showcase their prepared speeches next week.  

The 5/6 ‘s had the opportunity to research, prepare and deliver a speech on the topic of Strange World Records set in history.

These four girls blew the 5/6 students and their teachers away with their ability to get up confidently in front of 5/6 assembly and deliver their 4 minute speech.

 Well done everyone who tried out! 

This week our 5/6 students participated in AFL 9’s clinics run by Galen’s Sport and Recreation students. 

We were blessed with wonderful weather as we learnt various skills during fun, game-based activities. 

These skills will come in handy when we participate in the AFL 9’s round robin tournament in Week 9 against various other local schools.
