Year 12 Update

Formal 

We’re all very excited for the Year 12 Formal happening this Thursday 3 August 3 at San Remo Ballroom in Fitzroy. It seems to be the only topic of conversation in the school right now and it will be a great night to celebrate the hard work that has been happening this year. An email with further details will also be sent to all students and families about the formal.

VTAC Opening

It’s hard to believe that it is already time to be applying for courses of Tertiary Study. It does not feel like too long ago that everyone started in Year 7. VTAC opened on 31/07/23 and timely applications will close on September 28th. We aim to have all applications finished during Term 3.

Tutors have watched a detailed video of the different parts of the process of applying for Tertiary Study in class. This video was also emailed to all parents of Year 12 students last week. Applying for VTAC will be the main focus of everything we do in Connect during Term 3 and is the time dedicated to providing supports to Year 12 students. Please emphasise the importance of going to connect to support the application process and ensuring the smoothest transition from Northcote High School.

Graduation

Please keep your eyes out for communications in regards to Graduation and the purchasing of tickets. This will include details about the amount of tickets and how to request additional tickets if necessary. Graduation is taking place on October 5th in Flemington.
