VTAC is now open for applications

Year 12 transition planning is now in full swing, with VTAC opening their systems to Current Year 12 students as of July 31.

Last week in Connect students watched a recording about applying for VTAC, SEAS and Scholarships. The video also includes information on what to do at ATAR release time and when students receive an offer. Students and parents can watch the video HERE – the Password is NHS2023

Students planning on taking a GAP Year should still apply for courses, which can be accepted and deferred. Students applying for apprenticeships/traineeships should be working on their resume and preparing for the application process – as well as putting in appropriate courses for their ‘back-up’ plan.

VCE Scored students can apply for Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates. VCE Unscored and VCE-VM students can apply for Diploma and Certificate courses.

Year 12 students should complete the process of applying for courses, SEAS and scholarships by the end of this term (15 September).

Year 9 Morrisby on September 11

In sessions 1 & 2 on Monday September 11 all Year 9 students will be sitting their profiling assessment online. This is an activity that will take up to 2 hours to complete.

In term four students will receive a full report outlining their individual strengths, and the sorts of subjects and careers they may wish to consider for the future.

Students can only sit the profiling assessment once, so they need to be prepared to give it their best on the day so that the information is useful to them in the future.

Parents are reminded to complete the Morrisby permission via Compass to allow their student to participate in this fully funded program.

University Open Days

University Open Days are held from the last weekend in July and throughout August on weekends. Information about Open Days can be found in year level Teams for students in Years 10-12. Attending open days to find out more about universities and courses is important and I encourage students and families to do so over the next month.
