Music - Week 19

Music Eisteddfod Award Winners
After over 400 performances over two days of amazing music, the winners of the John XXIII Music Eisteddfod for 2017 have been decided! We would like to thank and congratulate all participants on incredibly musical and professional performances, and all the Music Tutors who helped prepare them for the occasion. The musical talent at the College was on full display, and all performers did themselves credit.
Our independent adjudicators for the event are delighted to announce the following sectional winners of the Eisteddfod:
All Special Mention and Outstanding Performers listed are invited to receive their medals and trophies at the annual Eisteddfod Winners' Concert, held this Sunday in the GBLT from 5:30pm.
This year’s Eisteddfod was an incredibly and excitingly close competition, with the scores at parity heading into the awards phase. We are pleased to announce that the winning house this year – by a margin of a single point – is WARD.
The Music Eisteddfod is an incredible effort on the part of many staff and volunteers, and we would like to thank all parent Scribes, Guest Adjudicators, Music Staff, Music Tutors and administrative staff who assisted in a successful event. We look forward to next year!

This concert featured ensemble performances by Senior Saxophone, Clarinet and String Quartets, Barbershop and Madrigals, and invited soloists in the beautiful surrounds of the cathedral in the heart of the city!
Music Photo Day
Please note that the Music Photo Day will NOT be held next Tuesday, as advertised in the calendar. An updated date for the photos will be advised in the near future.
