ACC Cross Country
Congratulations to our ACC Cross Country team who braved the elements to put in a solid effort at the ACC Cross Country carnival. With the rain coming down from the start of the day until the very end, the conditions were testing for our runners but we were very pleased with the efforts and dedication of the team.
The carnival was won by Sacred Heart College for the 14th year in a row which is an exceptional performance. St Norbert finished 22nd overall which is an improvement on 2017. Individual results can be found here:

High School Cup
On Wednesday 30 May, 13 Year 7/8 girls and 12 Year 9/10 girls headed off to Fremantle Netball Association to compete in the High School Cup. Over 50 schools participated in this carnival with the hope to reach the Grand Final later this year. The girls played five games across the day.
The Year 7/8 girls played really well, fighting some tough battles throughout the day against some really strong teams. There were many standout players on the day, with Rylee Curtis, Mia Hendricks and Makayla Castel dominating in defence. In goals the dynamic duo of Glenda Cornwall and Charlize Williams alongside Chloe Fitzgerald were unstoppable all day. With Aranai Didiwik, Anissa Holmes, Summer Pollard, Katie Tesch, Erica Tilli, Aleisha Patriarca and Taia Beil providing support in the centre court.
The Year 9/10 girls played exceptionally throughout the whole day only losing one game to Mandurah Catholic College, who were last year’s Grand Final winners. The defence applied fantastic pressure to the opposition attacking line with amazing deflections and rebounds, thanks to Grace White, Anushka Kotian and Suzanne Vagg-Johnson. Our attack was unstoppable, with Shenae and Kayla Hartree, and Erin Roch shooting goals from all around the shooting area. Zeta Stevens, Courtney Fitzgerald, Lauren Verbiest, Caitlin Bransby, Jade Greewell and Teyan Hodgson all stood up against some very tall opposition in centre court.
Much thanks go to the practicum teachers Dearne Meier and Katrina Dimanovski who came on the day to umpire our games. Thank you to the parents and family members that came down and supported the girls.
