Faith and Wellbeing Assistant Principal's Report

St Elizabeth's Primary School Reflection Day
On Friday 14 June 2019 seven Year 12 students went to St Elizabeth’s Primary School to run their Reflection Day for the students preparing to make their First Holy Communion. The students from St Elizabeth’s had a great day and our students were fantastic in leading these young people to reflect on the Eucharist, the gift it is and how we prepare our hearts to receive it.
Year 8 Reflection Day
Today the Year 8 students ceased classes for the day and had a Reflection Day on the theme of Self-Image. This day was led by the Year 11 Youth Ministry students and was a day where we took time out to stop, reflect, pray and grow in understanding of ourselves as being made in the Image and Likeness of God, people who are known and loved. This is such an important message of our Catholic Tradition and we encourage parents to discuss this day with their children and use it is an opportunity to affirm them in their gifts and your love for them.
Support
At Nazareth we aim to have a united community (‘One in Christ’). It is great to see students supporting and looking after each other and there are many many instances each day of our staff giving generously to assist students in need beyond the classroom. Please continue to keep us in the loop if there are issues needing support with your child, so we can work together to do all we can as a united team to support them.
End of Term
As the term comes to an end, we wish everyone a restful holiday and look forward to seeing everyone back for classes on Monday 15 July 2019. It has been a busy term and we hope families are able to have some time together to rest and enjoy during the break. With exam results and reports coming, the term break may be a good time also to have a look at how students are travelling, celebrate success and set some goals for next term to continue to improve.
