SLC Camp

From Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 March, the Student Leader Council went on camp in Phillip Island. The students were exposed to various leadership activities and got the chance to hear from amazing speakers, like Clare and Rachel from the Butterfly Foundation and alumni, Lu Yang and Oli Craig. We took part in team building activities, rock climbing and crate climbing, disco, skit night and much more!

No matter what year level, all students had a leadership role at some point on camp, giving us all a chance to develop our skills. Breaking off into our coloured groups to complete different tasks and activities ensured we built on our teamwork abilities. SLC camp is and always has been a highlight of the year, we always look forward to making new friends and connections, stepping into a leadership role and pushing the limits of our comfort zone!

It is always such a fantastic experience for students in the Years 8-12 and we recommend it to anyone.

Thank you to Ms Sarah Bahramis, Ms Jess Bambridge, Ms Georgie Long, Mr Jon Christie, Mr John Russel, Ms Kate Burgess, Mrs Mel Donegan, Mr Anthony Keane and Ms Hayley Paris for taking the time out of your personal lives to supervise us, without any of you this incredible experience would not be possible. Also thank you to Mr Andrew Batchelor and Ms Leah Hannas for coming and visiting us on camp and getting involved in the activities.

The next SLC recruitment drive will be taking place at the end of Term 1 and beginning of Term 2, so look out for more details on compass.
