Saint Mary Mackillop Feast Day and Family Mass

Thank you to our family and community members who came to celebrate Saint Mary Mackillop's Feast day with us on Tuesday 8th August. Mary Mackillop was a significant individual in the Catholic Church, but also to Glen Innes and our school. She was an advocate for the poor and her life's mission was to help those in need, which is why she spent a large proportion of her life setting up schools. Mary spent time in Glen Innes where she stayed in the old convent. Hence why Tuesday's feast day was extra special for our community. 

Feast of the Assumption

Next Tuesday, 15th August, is the Feast of the Assumption. Our school will be joining our local Parish community to celebrate this Feast. The Feast of the Assumption is a day of Holy Obligation where all Catholics are called to attend Mass together. Some of our students will be active participants, reading during the Liturgy of the Word. 

We invite all parents, families and community members to join the Parish at 12:00noon at St. Patrick's Church to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption.
