Visual Communication with Ms Lodge

Our VC Class have produced some great product packaging designs.  

Students were asked to design the packaging graphics for a product of their choice.  

• Find/create a product that would suit the supplied packaging net. 
• Identify the purpose, target audience and context of your new packaging graphics.  
• Research existing packaging graphics using thedieline.com as a starting point. 
  Collect 4+ pages of research of styles you like as well as what might suit your target audience and purpose. Reference correctly.  
• Decide what details need to go on your box. Product Name, weight/volume, product type, ingredients, barcode, imagery.  
• Generate 4+ pages of ideas for your packaging. Use a range of different media, methods and materials.  
• Scan in any imagery/type you may need for your design.  
• Use the Adobe Illustrator box template to create your packaging design.  
• Print your design on card and construct into your final packaging.  

Year 12 student Grace Wiley produced some beautiful newborn outfits as part of Unit 4 Product Design & Technology with Ms Bellingham.
