Staffing News

I am pleased to be able to announce to you our staffing arrangements for Inclusive Education for 2023. Mrs Marisa Cameron has been appointed to an Inclusive Education and mid-year Reception teacher role in 2023. Many of you will know Marisa already as a parent of the school. Marisa is an experienced early years classroom teacher, most recently holding an Intervention Teacher position at Burton Primary School. Marisa shares St Paul’s vision for education which focuses on the uniqueness of children and supporting them to grow through play.

Miss Claire Fisher has been appointed to an Inclusive Education teacher role for 2023. Coming from our teaching team, Claire comes to the role with a clear understanding of our vision. She has worked closely with Mrs Danielle Nak in recent years and is looking forward to working alongside classroom teachers to support with planning for and working with, diverse learning needs.

Congratulations to Marisa and Claire for their new appointments!

St Paul Lutheran School Board

Our Board will be seeking to fill a casual vacancy for a two-year term from 2023. We are particularly looking for skills and/or experience in areas including HR, legal, business or marketing. You are welcome to contact me for any queries, or to email our Board Chair, Merryn Ruwoldt, at councilchair@stpaulba.sa.edu.au.

Mask Wearing Encouraged

With the notable increase in COVID-19 cases, I have strongly recommended that all staff wear masks in indoor settings. You may see more of our staff using masks in meetings. Please be aware that there may be a time that we will all be required to wear masks again in short periods if we have outbreaks in the school, however this will be clearly communicated should this become needed.

In line with this, I am also encouraging visitors to the school including parents to wear masks where you may be in contact with other adults for long periods of time. Examples of this are scheduled teacher meetings, Chapel and Assembly.

Please note that this is not a mandate this (apart from our current practice in whole staff meetings where masks are required).
