Every year in October, the Feast of Christ the King was celebrated at the campus of De La Salle College, the present grounds of O'Connor Catholic College. For this celebration, clergy came from around the diocese and busses brought parishioners to Armidale for this important feast day. 

Some slides of my Father's I was digitising recently, featured the commemoration of this event on the college grounds and shows the altar which was built each year. Note the second floor verandah on La Salle was yet to be built, it wasn't until the 1990s that this addition was made to the building.
