Aboriginal Student Program

Fundraiser for Cassius Turvey

The Aboriginal Students of Trinity College came together on Wednesday, 9 November to help raise funds for the family of Cassius Turvey. Cassius Turvey was only 15. He was murdered in the street on his way home from school for absolutely no reason. He did nothing wrong; he was attacked simply for looking Aboriginal.

On Wednesday at lunchtime the Year 7-10 Aboriginal Students with the help of Ben Sutherland in Year 11, Ms Jamee Starcevich and Mr Chris Mayne sold hotdogs and cool drinks as well as hand crafted wristbands and lanyards to show our support for the Turvey family and the whole Aboriginal community in this time.
