New Student Orientation Morning

The New Student Orientation morning last Friday was very successful thanks to a number of people who assisted on the day. The students in Year 6 who led tours did an excellent job, as did the boys in Year 4 and 5 who were buddies for the new students. Thank you to the Year 4 parents and Mrs Cherie Murdoch from the College Auxiliary who helped with the serving of morning tea. Thank you to Mr Bernard Le Tessier who ran the Orientation, Mrs Ella Spencer who did a lot of the preparation, and all who assisted to make the morning a very positive experience for our new families to the College.

Prefects Corner

This week has been another hard worker week, where all the boys have been working hard for our Presentation Night. We have done multiple practices throughout the week for our upcoming songs. The Year 6 band has also been working hard, perfecting their song for Presentation Night. JVE have also been polishing their two songs for Presentation Night. Overall, the Junior School has been working hard to get all the songs and dances ready.

The year 5’s this week have started their prefect speeches, they started on Monday, and they got their round 1 results back on Thursday. Unfortunately, not everyone gets to go on through to the next round.

On Thursday the year 4’s had their cricket training, where they are getting ready to go out and play Aquinas in some games. Year 6 Green went on an excursion to The Shopfront. I am sure they all enjoyed it there, whilst also learning about what The Shopfront does for those less fortunate.

On Friday, the year 6’s had their pasta making. We had a special guest come in and show us how to make it. Then we got to eat it. On Friday we had Remembrance Day to remember all the soldiers who fought in the war and died. We had a moment of silence.
