The Climate Canons were awarded first place in the Stewardship category, as well as being nominated in the new Student Led Initiative category. Congratulations to the hardworking students and staff of the Climate Canons on their win of this award. Miss Pisconeri and Mrs Kremer were fortunate to attend the Catholic Education Western Australia Staff Breakfast on Friday, 14 October to accept this award on behalf of the students.

Thank you to the ongoing support of the College community, Mr O’Sullivan, Mrs Quartermain and staff and students of St Norbert College, who are all working towards a more sustainable future.

Waste-free Wednesday

ENVIROWEEK -  held across Australia from October 22-28 each year - gives schools and people across Australia the opportunity to connect with their local environment and community. Each year, thousands of people across Australia take action to improve our environment by participating in a number of events.

This year, the Climate Canons challenged students and staff to thinking about waste, climate change and sustainability in a fun-filled educational quiz with great prizes won by Rebecca Attwood (T5) and Jia Chen (K2). Students also ran “Waste Free Wednesday”, where students were rewarded for their forward planning and impact-limiting waste consumption. Congratulations to the following students who were “waste free” and won sustainably made stationery!
