Father’s Day & Special Friend Breakfast

A big thank you to the dads and special friends for attending our Father’s Day & Special Friend breakfast. We hope you enjoyed it, and not only consumed some delicious food, but also spent some quality time making memories with your special people.

The PFA is very much about making opportunities to connect. Life gets busy, so it’s great to stop and enjoy the simple things in life.  A big thanks for supporting this event and coming along.

Lastly, a HUGE thanks to the volunteers who made this event come to life: Natasha Lowe, Fiona Godfrey, Kim Johnston, Lou Cooper, Wendy McMillan, Serena Lane, Annie Jiang, Deb Barton, Diana Chow, Sweta Ajmera, Cass Becher, Chelsie Dickson, Bree Nation, Cynthia Sundoko, Shirley Wang, Keiran Hopkins and Jasmin Ptok.

We cannot do these events without the support of our community!

PFA General Meeting

Thanks to all who attended the PFA meeting this week. Our next PFA meeting will take place Tuesday 10 October from 7.30 to 8.30pm in the Boardroom. Everyone is welcome to attend.

PFA Administration Staff Thank You Lunch

A big thank you to all those fabulous families who brought in home-cooked and store-bought food in recognition of our gratitude of our fabulous administration staff to enjoy over their lunch period.

The staff immensely enjoyed their lunch. I saw many nibbling on a baked good or a sandwich as I walked through the hallways today.

Thanks so much to our wonderful Hospitality Coordinator, Carrie Fowler, who with the assistance of the fabulous Natasha Lowe, setup and placed all the donated goods in the Boardroom.

Please remember to pick up your containers, plates, tins from Main Reception.

PFA refreshments at Junior School Production - Moana Jr

The PFA will be providing refreshments before the Junior School Production of Moana Jr on both Tuesday, 12 September, and Thursday, 14 September, in the Staff Lounge from 7.00pm onwards. Please come along and enjoy a beverage of choice or purchase a snack, all in readiness for the fabulous Moana production!

There are a couple of spots still free for volunteering at this event, so if you can help from 6.15pm to 7.30pm, please sign up here

PFA Hospitality Coordinator - recruiting a mini team!

As our fabulous PFA Hospitality Coordinator, Carrie, is ending her Kilvington journey at the end of this year, we’re in search for her replacement. However, I would love this to be a shared role in the future between two, three or even four peeps!

The responsibilities for this role/s encompass coordinating various hospitality events, such as setting up the PFA Staff Morning Tea, organising and vending refreshments at the Junior School and Senior School Productions, and managing a sausage sizzle and selling snacks during the Senior School Athletics Day.

The primary role would be to purchase goods, allocate rosters and oversee the event. The PFA supports this role with volunteers on the day and any administration assistance required. It’s a super fun role and an easy way to get involved with the broader community outside of your cohort.

We warmly welcome anyone interested in joining our team to come and meet us at the Refreshments Stall at the upcoming Junior School Production. This will offer a great opportunity for you to experience our activities and consider potentially becoming part of the team. I would be more than happy to have a designated Hospitality Coordinator per event to share the duties!

Don’t be shy, come on down, and please reach out to Nadine Power at npower1616@gmail.com with any questions.

Kilvington Cares – Thank You

Thanks so much to the many families who have made delicious meals for those in need within our community. Please remember to reach out to Bianca Lapins lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au or Janet Woodlock via woodlockj@kilvington.vic.edu.au if you would like to confidentially nominate a family in need.

Secondhand Uniform Shop (SHUS)

The SHUS will next open on Saturday 7 October, from 9.00 to 11.00am in Dalton Hall.

In Term 4, we will transition back to summer uniforms, so come in and snap up a bargain!

The team will be accepting items for consignment. All items need to be in excellent condition and freshly cleaned. Blazers, tunics, skirts and pants should please be dry cleaned.

Thank you to Briohny Marshall and the SHUS volunteers for providing this great service for our students.
