A Look at Learning

Global Citizens Project Update

On Tuesday our fabulous Global Citizens presented their year’s work to all of the other schools involved in the Project, across Australia and New Zealand, as well as some very distinguished guests. Camilla, Mackenzie, Noah and Tom did an outstanding job! They detailed their experiences, explained the process and discussed the challenges they faced along the way. They even held a question and answer panel!

Our Global Citizens are so passionate about what they have achieved and should be very proud of themselves for being advocates for positive change. We are so lucky to have such wonderful role models in our school.

Many thanks to Miss Martin and Casey for facilitating the program throughout the year.

Kindergarten's Imaginary Animals

Throughout the year, Kindergarten students have been learning about writing informative and imaginative texts. They had a little fun last week, creating their very own imaginary animals! Check out Thomas and Mackenna’s information reports on their animals.

Meg Languages

In our Meg Global Ed Mandarin lessons, students at St Mary of the Angels are combining celebrating the festive season with language learning! When your child gets home from school, ask them if they can sing a Christmas Carol in Chinese yet!

Students as Authors Competition

Mia's wonderful eBook has now been uploaded to the SORA digital library platform and we expect it will be available for students to borrow from tomorrow afternoon. The PDF copy will open on any device, but if you have an apple device, clicking on the ePub version will open it in iBooks which will allow you to see it exactly as it will appear in our library.

We would like to wish Mia a huge congratulations and we hope that she is proud of her collaborative efforts with local illustrator, Trish Donald.  Mia's book will be shared with staff and students across 15 Dioceses in Australia! What a wonderful end to the school year.
