Exciting Opportunity – Head of Maintenance

Mr Andrew Darbin has resigned as the College’s Head of Maintenance to pursue further studies. The College community wishes him every success. Mr Darbin will be sorely missed as an invaluable member of our community.

The College is therefore seeking to appoint an experienced and energetic Head of Maintenance. The Head of Maintenance supervises the maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, upgrading and refurbishment of the buildings and grounds of the College’s Chatswood, Oxford Falls and Wamberal campuses. All members of the Maintenance Team report to the Head of Maintenance and are responsible to the Head of Maintenance for the quality, promptness and comprehensiveness of all works carried out.

Visual Arts (2022) students selected for Willoughby Council Art Space Exhibition

Four of the Visual Arts Class of 2022 have had their Bodies of Work selected for the annual Smart Expressions exhibition at the Concourse Art Space. We congratulate Aram Zarigian, Leo Blane, Ja Nastys and Charlie Zwart. Details of the exhibition are below. Please call in and look at the works if you have the opportunity. And congratulations to Aram whose work has been chosen to advertise the exhibition in the brochure! Many thanks to Ms Janes who guided the boys through their course.

 

Smart Expressions 2023

A Council curated exhibition of student artworks selected from the 2022 NSW HSC.

Willoughby City Council presents an exhibition of student artworks selected from the 2022 NSW HSC practical examination in Visual Arts. The exhibition demonstrates the interests and passions of a new generation of young artists. Celebrating the artistic talents and achievements of young people, the exhibition features a selection of artworks from students who attended six local high schools:

  • Bradfield Senior College
  • Chatswood High School
  • Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School
  • Mercy Catholic College
  • St Pius X College
  • Willoughby Girls High School

The artwork selected for the exhibition explores a range of subject matters, such as identity, the environment, the impacts of war, LGBTQIA+ issues and mental health.
