Christmas Giving

I would like to thank the entire community for their generous support of our Christmas Giving during Advent to conclude the 2022 school year. We were able to support many different organisations including:

  • St Vincent de Paul, Woy Woy
  • The community of St Mary’s, Bowraville
  • Catholic Care – Northern Beaches
  • The Burdekin Association
  • Centacare employees
  • St Michael’s Meals, Darlington

Each community has expressed their gratitude at our support for those who experience disadvantage, particularly at Christmas. St Vincent de Paul at Woy Woy sent through the following:

“Dear Junior School, we have given some of the men’s toiletries packs out and it was beautiful. The men could not believe that they received a present, you guys did amazing”.

Please see the attached photos which highlight the delivery of all of our donations.

Edmund Rice Hours

This year will be an opportunity for students of Year 10 and Year 11 to re-engage with our Edmund Rice Hours program. As a way of living by the ideals of Edmund Rice, who always looked to give to the poor in handfuls and had a special place in his heart for those living on the margins, students will be required to complete a certain amount of hours of volunteer work in the spirit of Edmund Rice.

To this end, work has been undertaken by staff at the College to organise opportunities for students to be involved in. This includes:

  • The Matthew Talbot Hostel for men
  • The BeConnected program run through Chatswood library
  • Centacare Solidarity Program

Students in Years 10 and 11 will be made aware of when these opportunities are available to take part in.

Commencement Mass

Plans are well underway for our College Commencement Mass that will take place at our Oxford Falls Sporting Complex on 21 February at 10.00 am. This event will be live streamed so that parents and members of our community can feel part of this. Details will be made available in the coming weeks.
