Aerobics

Two teams, a pair and a single competed in the Aerobics Winter Cyber Challenge recently. 

The pair, Josie Weir and Hannah Walker, placed first in their section. They were coached by past student Rikki Andison. The Stage One team - Iona Rogers, Caitlin Hughes, Finley Rawlings, Talia Clarke, Eliza McMahon and Mariya Bernyk - placed first in their section. They were coached by Kasey Cutler (Year 10) and Alisa Chechelnitskiy (Year 9).

Good luck to the 34 students travelling to the Gold Coast for the National Aerobics Competition this weekend. They have been training hard and are all excited to involved in this amazing opportunity

Year 7 Soccer

Congratulations to the Year 7 doccer team who were the overall winners at the Southern Metropolitan Regional (SMR) finals last week. They have now scored themselves an opportunity to compete in the State Finals in early September! Well done to our student coaches, Olive Lyons and Josie Weir accompanied by the staff coach, Ms Cappuccio.

We have the last of the Round Robin days this week and next with Year 7 and 8 students heading out. Teams that have qualified for a spot in SMR finals for their sports will be contacted as the date approaches.

The Senior, Intermediate, Year 8 and 7 netball teams all played in the SMR round robin this week. As always, all teams played respectfully and fairly on and off the court so well done to all players and coaches involved. Thank you to the parents and guardians who came to spectate and cheer on their daughters.

2019 Athletics Day – Competitors Only

The rescheduled MGSC Athletics Day will be held at Dolomore Oval on Friday 30 August.

Students have been sent a link to sign up for this event. This event will be for competitors only. More details will be sent to all competitors prior to the day.
