SRC AWARD

The first recipient of the SRC Values Award for this term was:

1/2M  for being honest and owning up to doing something wrong.

Well done! You have done a great job of displaying this term's focus value.

This term we are looking at each homeroom's Class Dojo profiles in order to decide the winner of the award.

R.A.P Program

Some of you may remember your children participating in this program two years ago. As a staff we have decided to continue to implement this program for a term every two years. Many of the home groups have commenced the program in the last couple of weeks.

What is R.A.P?

The Respect Ambassador Program (RAP) is a five-week (we will be spending the whole term implementing the program) bystander activation program that aims to develop effective social skills to become active contributors to a positive school community.

The program’s learning intentions are:

To build the capacity of students to promote and engage in respectful relationships.

To empower students to be the change makers and to have the skill set to deal with issues and concerns.

R.A.P is an empathy based approach to bullying.

It looks at:

Compassion/Empathy Vs. Discipline

Bully Behaviour is usually driven by the fact that the bully is in some degree of pain themselves. This may be anger, frustration, agitation, sadness.

Show Compassion and Individual support Vs. Reprimand but with consequences.
