Middle & Senior School

Year 9/10 Elective Forms
Year 9/10 elective forms have been distributed. These forms must be returned no earlier than Monday, September 14, and no later than Thursday, September 17. Students failing to hand in their form by the due date will forfeit their right to choose and will have an elective allocated to them.
Parents are encouraged to spend time with their child in making elective choices. If either students or parents have any more queries about the electives or the process involved in selection, they are encouraged to contact us at school or via email, Mr Davidson at ldavidson@bhcs.vic.edu.au or Mr Seskis at iseskis@bhcs.vic.edu.au .
Tutoring
Mrs McDowell is available for tutoring for English for Middle and Senior School students after school hours. If any parent or student is interested, please email amcdowell@bhcs.vic.edu.au
VCE Matters
One of the most important things that students can do to help reduce stress levels and workloads in the weeks leading up to the final exams (as well as maximise examination scores) is to make a solid start in their exam preparations over the Term 3 school holidays.
VCE students completing a Year 12 exam are encouraged to:
• Use their holidays to get on top of their studies and prepare for exams
• Attend subject lectures (this will help prepare students for exams and usually give a
comprehensive set of notes that cover examinable knowledge).
• Follow a study timetable over the 2 week period that will help them focus on studies and
allow time for recreation.
• Complete a minimum of 5 practice exams (see VCAA website for past exams and
answers).
Happy studying!
