Year 11 Chemistry

The Year 11 Chemistry students enjoyed sharing their models of different types of bonding during class. The model was one part of their research assignment investigating the nature of metallic, covalent molecular, ionic or covalent network bonding. They are now on display in the foyer of the Resource Centre for everyone to have a closer look.

RAS Primary Swimming

Our Students made the long journey to Wagga to compete in the RAS swimming finals on Tuesday 6 March, some students undertaking the journey with parents the day before and others on the bus for a 5am departure!

Once at the venue our students warmed up in the pool, nearly all our students informed me that the water was EXTREMLY COLD!

The day was another great opportunity for our students to excel; they did not disappoint, a number of teaching staff from other schools as well as the race officials all making complimentary remarks about the conduct and sportsmanship displayed by the entire swim squad. Our students cheered each other on with eagerness and enthusiasm but displayed great maturity in also congratulating rival schools on their accomplishments.

In the pool, our students gave it their all, posting some very impressive performances, every student performing to the best of their abilities, which is all you can ask of anyone!

Special mentions must go to Lucy Kennedy, winning four individual events and collecting first place ten years girls overall age champion. Congratulations Lucy.

Macklan Dalziel for also winning two individual events and coming third overall in his age group of boys eight and nine years. Again, another tremendous achievement as Macklan still has another year to compete in this age group!

Jordan Dalziel, Patrick Kennedy and William Whitbourn all gaining third place in their respective races. This was an amazing achievement in a very competitive race meet.

The Boys ten years and under relay team also finished third, for which they should be extremely proud, well done Flynn Gilbert, William Whitbourn, Macklan Dalziel and Tanner Peters.

I would also like to thank staff members Bronwyn Andrzejeski and Regan Smith as well as all the parents who attended on the day. Without your help and support, these activities are simply not possible. Thank you.

Finally, I was extremely proud of all the competitors and would like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to each and every one of them. Well done on a fantastic effort.

Mr Paul Dolan  - Head of Primary Sport

This week Mr Parker's Year 7 HSIE students took part in their own excavation dig in the AG plots. It was a great way for the students to get a practical understanding of an archaeological dig.
