From our Principal

It is wonderful to be here.
I have been given a very warm welcome from the staff, students and parents I have met at this stage and am looking forward to meeting everyone, hearing your stories, hopes and aspirations for our students and working with families to realise these.
My family and I arrived at the end of last week and I have spent this week meeting with staff, visiting classrooms and talking to students and I have been impressed by the optimism and friendliness, our students all seem happy and settled. This week I have heard of the success of our students in a range of activities including public speaking, swimming and the success of both Year 7 and 5 camps. Thank you to the staff and parents who make these opportunities possible for the students.
Teaching and working in schools is a great privilege, we get to walk with young people on their journey and be involved in their development and growth as they mature into young adults, ready to take on the world and be the difference they want to see. I am looking forward to being involved in this journey with students, staff and parents here and working together to develop resilient young adults for a world that is constantly changing.
The major teachers in any child’s life are the parents or family and school is secondary to this. Working with families is very important as we are in partnership with you. Key to this partnership is communication and I look forward to meeting parents and having open communication between school and home.
Again, thank you for the very warm welcome to Moama and to Moama Anglican Grammar.

Staff Farewell
It is with some sadness that I am writing to announce the resignation of Miss Sarah Buchanan and Mrs Jo Webb from the School. Sarah has been successful in securing a senior English teaching position at Assumption College Kilmore and we wish her all the very best for this exciting new endeavour. Sarah’s last day with us will be the 20 March. Jo has accepted a full-time position within the Education Department Student Support Services (SSS) Team (Echuca Based) as a Social Worker. Jo will finish at the end of Term 1. Wewish her all the very best for her exciting new opportunity.
Mr Mathew Greenwood will be stepping in to take Miss Buchanan’s Year 11 and 12 English classes. Having joined us from Girton College, Bendigo this year, Mr Greenwood is excited for this opportunity and will be working closely with Miss Buchanan to ensure a smooth handover and transition. Mr Greenwood will also be joined in his Year 12 classes by Mrs Spry, our new Principal and very experienced HSC English teacher. Mrs Spry will be regularly team teaching with Mr Greenwood and is looking forward to getting to know the Year 12 English students and staff.
