Congratulations

To the following boys on their recent performances at the Victorian All Schools Track and Field Championships held at Lakeside stadium.

Nicholas Grech (Yr 7)  

Long Jump (4th) & 200 m (11th)

James Burren (Yr 8)      

2 km Steeplechase (5th) and 3 km (5th)

Zac Calvez (Yr 11)          110 Hurdles (4th), 

Triple Jump (4th) and 400 m Hurdles (5th)

Sebastian Zammit (Yr 11)    

Discus (3rd), Javelin (4th) and Shot Put (5th)

As a result of his performances, Nicholas Grech has been selected to represent School Sport Victoria at the National Track and Field Championships which will be held in Tasmania from 27 November to 2 December.

Skin Protection Alert

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. At least 2 in 3 Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70. Source: Cancer Council, Victoria.

The major cause of skin cancer is exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

Uniform Reminder

Years 7 – 9 are reminded that they are to wear their broad brimmed St Bede’s College hat outdoors, including during Physical Education lessons, throughout Terms 1 and 4.
