Congratulations

To Nicholas Grech (7.2) on being chosen to represent Victoria in the National Schools 12 Years and Under Track and Field Championships in Penguin Tasmania, November 28th – 30th.

Nicholas has been chosen for the third consecutive year and caps off a great year after his successful State representation in the Championship winning Schools U12 Victorian Australian Football team in June this year.

Representing St Bede’s College at the recent Schools Sport Victoria 12 Years and Under State Championships at the Lakeside Athletics Track, Albert Park, Nicholas won selection to compete in the 200 m and in the Long Jump. 

His jump of 5.48 m setting a new record for his age group. 

On Saturday 8th of November, Nicholas again represented St Bede’s College competing in the Long Jump and the 200 m in the All Schools (Secondary) State Championships also at Lakeside.

Competing a year out of age group, Nicholas jumped 5.43 m in his last jump to grab the Bronze medal (pictured) , and in doing so  qualifying to represent Victoria in the National Schools Championships in Sydney in April 2015.
