Term One = Tick!
Well that just flew by!!! It gets me every time!
We've achieved a lot this term. New friendships, basic reading concepts such as direction of reading, sentences, words, letters and phonemes (sounds!) and also numbers to 10. The students have engaged well with areas of the curriculum and shown a keen interest in Maths and Reading. We have moved away from the transition from Kinder to school and are starting to identify areas of our learning that are our favourite things to do at school which isn't just "playing on the playground". I would like to thank each and everyone family for their support, patience and understanding with our routines and expectations. Kylie and I are very excited with the move into Term 2 and the learning that's ahead.
We have Anzac activities in week one, followed by our Theatre Excursion in week 3! The best things that you can be doing to support your child's learning at home over the break is reading, reading and more reading! We are trying to establish and maintain that love for literacy. There is also Reading Eggs, the app!
Jump Disco
What a fantastic turnout to our first Jump Disco! So great to see students coming to have fun! We all had a ball! We look forward to the next one in June!
Happy Easter!
Wishing you all a wonderful break and relaxing Easter! Hope you do something where you get to treat yourself and your loved ones! Maybe lots of chocolate and chilling out! Please do take good care of each other and we look forward to seeing you back in April for Term 2 - TUESDAY 18th!
