Vision for Learners

SACE Results 2020

2020 has certainly been a challenging year for SACE students at Endeavour College and across South Australia. Their commitment and perseverance will culminate in the release of end-of-year results at 8:30am on Tuesday 15 December.

Students can access their results through the Students Online portal at https://apps.sace.sa.edu.au/students-online/login.do. They should do so using their SACE Registration Number and PIN.

The default PIN is the student’s date of birth in DDMM format. If students have previously accessed Students Online they would have been prompted to update this to a password of their choice.

Students are strongly encouraged to log in to Students Online as soon as possible to ensure they have access, and their contact details are correct.

If a student has forgotten their password, they should click the Forgot Password button and enter their SACE number for their password to be reset.

Students should also check their contact details by accessing their Personal Information through the Account tab in the menu bar. Ensuring that the postal address listed is correct is essential as this is where an official certificate and Record of Achievement will be sent.

If students require their address to be updated, they should contact me at Innika.ackerley@endeavour.sa.edu.au.

If students have trouble logging in to Schools Online they should contact the SACE Board on 8115 4712 or email askSACE@sa.gov.au.

Should you have any questions regarding end-of-year results or any SACE procedures, please do not hesitate to contact me at the College.

University Preferences

Congratulations Year 12 students on the completion of your schooling - You should be very proud of all you have achieved over the past 13 years, especially this year!

A few students have asked about the message they have next to their University Preferences on the SATAC website. Below is some information regarding the meaning of these messages.

If you are a student who currently has an offer from Adelaide University or Flinders University as a result of your application through the various schemes earlier in the year and you wish be considered in a different course, you will need to make the adjustment to your preferences. Please follow any guidelines communicated to you from the university which has made the offer.

Once you have received your Year 12 results there is opportunity to finalise your preferences up until 7 January via the SATAC website. In the week following SACE results, the University’s offer 'Change of Preference sessions'. If you are uncertain about your study options, it is generally best to contact the chosen university directly and schedule a time to discuss your possibilities. You can check the current status of your application via the website using your SATAC ID Code.  SATAC can also be contacted either by phone (8224 4000) or completing an enquiry form at www.satac.edu.au/enquiries.

There are a range of different ways into University including pathway courses such as Diploma or Foundation Studies courses. These are great options for your 5th or 6th preferences. Applications to TAFE are still being accepted and can be made on the SATAC or TAFE website:- https://www.satac.edu.au/pages/tafe-sa

SATAC will make offers based on your eligibility and competitiveness for each of your preferences, they will always assume that your higher preferences are the courses you most wish to be considered for. Offers will be made from 15 January and will be emailed before 5pm. Further offers will be made on 28 January and 2 February. Please follow the directions in the SATAC email regarding responding to offers. Once you have accepted an offer, the university will contact you to inform you on how to enroll in your course. It is important to following the information and follow any deadlines set. For TAFE courses, you will also be contacted by email. It will be VERY IMPORTANT that you have registered an email that you can check regularly around results and offers time, to ensure you receive any relevant information. This should not be your current Endeavour College email.

Students Studying at the School of Languages

Every year we have an increasing number of students who study a language at the School of Languages. This school has classes at various locations in Adelaide and run their classes outside of school hours. Learning a language has many lifelong benefits as well as being fun! Courses are run at beginners and continuers levels and at every year level up to and including Stage 2.

Nine students this year have chosen to study a language, often in addition to their full timetable at the College. We congratulate these students for their commitment to their studies.

Of particular note we congratulate Kaylan Flores-Stokes (Spanish) and Rosie Nguyen (Vietnamese) for completing their Stage 2 courses and Ioni Bradshaw for achieving a Merit Award for her achievements in Stage 1 Japanese (Beginners). These are outstanding accomplishments.

The languages that students have chosen to study this year include: Khmer, Vietnamese, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.

Should studying a language in this way interest you please read the information on the School of Languages website  or contact me at the College.

Year 10 PLP Mock Interviews

In Week 5, our Year 10 students were given the chance to participate in the job recruitment process by compiling a cover letter and resume. They then participated in an interview with one of our volunteers. Students were provided with feedback on their performance and areas to improve.

This great opportunity provided our students with a range of skills to ensure they are well equipped to seek part-time employment during their senior years if they so choose and develop skills that will be useful in the future. We are thankful for a range of regular and new community volunteers who support our Mock Interview program.
