With the introduction of smart phones, it is much easier to access the internet and social networking sites whenever, wherever. Unfortunately, this also makes it easier for cyberbullies too.

Make sure that your child is always using technology in a supervised area where there are adults. Lights out should mean that all devices are put away for the night and should not be accessed in the bedroom.

BOOK CLUB NEWS

Issue 2 has been a great success with most parents using the new LOOP ordering and payment system. More than three quarters of parents ordered and paid online.  This seems to be an easier way to order book club, as you can do it anytime, anywhere!  

No need to remember when to send back the order forms to school or find the correct amount of money.  Just go online and order your child’s books then pay at the same time.  Easy!

Your children’s books will be delivered next week

 to their classrooms as usual.

Always remember to send a note if you need your child's order to be a surprise, so I can call you when to pick up the books rather than delivering them to your child’s classroom!  Books are always a great present for birthdays and we are lucky that Scholastic sell books for as little as $2 at times.

Please remember when ordering and paying online through LOOP – there is no need to send back the order form to school.

CANTEEN NEWS

A revised canteen menu is now available. (see page 2) Due to an increase in supplier costs, we have had to make a small price rise to some items. However, they are generous sized portions and made with love.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALE NEXT WEEK

The second hand uniform sale will be held outside the staffroom on:

 WEDNESDAY 25 MARCH 3.00 - 4.00 p.m.

We do need a helping hand tomorrow, Wednesday 18, to assist with sorting and labelling. If you have some time to spare, please meet Kanchan near the office at 9.00.

On the day, please check sizes etc. carefully before you purchase, because there is no exchange. 

Also, it would be much appreciated if you could use small change when making purchases.
