Unfortunately, not all plastics get recycled and some end up in our oceans, harming sea life.

And plastics hang around for a very very long time...

Here are some super duper alternatives for how to reduce plastic waste around your home:

• Keep cups
• Metal straws
• Bamboo toothbrushes
• Paper straws for parties
• Reusable water bottles
• Paper cups for birthdays
• Reusable nappies

Here are some more products around the home that you can switch plastic packaging for paper/cardboard:

• Cardboard cartons of milk
• Cardboard packaging for laundry powder
• Cardboard packaging for soap
• Bamboo bandaids
