Digital Technologies

Seniors have been eagerly awaiting the return of school so that they could start their yearly design project with Minecraft education edition in Digital Technologies. 

Last year Seniors built chemistry labs and crafted chemicals and this year the project is called Mission Mars. 

The students have been gifted a block of land on Mars and must decide what to build on it whilst keeping within the theme and colour schemes. Students have already had one session and next week will be their second. Please view the photos to see some of the progress so far.

Here is the link for Minecraft Education Edition. It is a free download for PC, Mac, Chromebook and iPad. Once downloaded students need to log in with their school account. This will allow them free access. I have informed the students to always ask for permission before downloading any software.

Josef in SD also made a video showing how to build a laser gate door which was shared on Google classroom for other students. I have also shared the link here so you can see how great it is. 

If any other students would like to make a short video at home based on the theme they can run the idea past me to get approval and then send me their videos to share with the Seniors.
