Book Week Competitions – enter now!
The Children’s Book Council of Australia Book Week is here. To celebrate, the Library is holding three competitions. Every entry will win house points, and there's a $20 Uber Eats voucher up for grabs for each winner and runner up!
Competition One: Design your own ‘Curious Creature’
This year’s Book Week theme is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’. Unleash your creativity and design your best curious creature! Do it any way you like – paint it, build it, become it – let your imagination run wild! Send us a photo of your work to enter. Check out Pigaroo, painted by the Library's own Mrs McDonald, for inspiration! Send a photo of your entry to deaizpurua.michelle@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au.
Competition Two: Show Us Your Books photo competition
What does your book collection look like? Do you organise your books alphabetically, by subject, by book size, or by colour to create rainbow shelves? Do you keep you most prized book close by to read over and over again, or store it away somewhere safe? Show us your books! Take a photo of your book collection and send it to deaizpurua.michelle@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au with a short caption of what your collection or favourite book means to you.
Competition Three: Quick Book Quiz!
What better way to celebrate Book Week than with a super quick, super fun book quiz? Test your general book knowledge and find your way around the EDSC Library’s exciting new website. You might even get some ideas of what books to read next! Enter the quiz now.
All entries must be received by midday Friday October 23, and winners will be announced the following week. Good luck!
2021 Booklist and online ordering
School books for 2021 can now be ordered online. To purchase school books for 2021, please go to the Campion Books website at: www.campion.com.au
Go to ‘Order here’, choose ‘East Doncaster Secondary College’ from the dropdown list and enter the code RCNB to access the online booklist.
Orders must be placed online by Tuesday 8 December 2020. Note that there will be no school pickup of orders in 2021. All orders will be delivered to your address. Any late orders will incur an additional delivery fee.
