Wellbeing

There is a lot happening in Term 3 in our wellbeing space, for the students and for the parents.

Sexuality and Protective Behaviours Education

Later this Term the students will be participating in Sexuality Education (3-6 and Protective Behaviours (F-2).  These sessions will be conducted by  Cath McCallig, a qualified teacher, who worked with Family Life Victoria and now in her own Sexuality Education business, Sex Ed 4 Schools. Cath understands and fully supports the important role families have in the sexuality and safety education of children.

An online parent session will also be held and delivered by Cathy to further explain how her programs will operate and to aid you in support your children through the sessions.

Further information and details about these sessions will be sent out via Operoo ASAP.

Peaceful Parents

Peaceful Parents is a Mindfulness and Positive Psychology based parenting program to increase resilience in both parents and their children.  Peaceful Parents is a strength-based parenting workshop that is engaging, practical and supportive for parents. Parents learn strategies to lessen stress, enjoy parenting more as well as learning practical strategies to build resilience in their children.

Peaceful Parents will be facilitated by Sarah Fuller our Wellbeing Teacher at St Joseph’s beginning in August at 7pm. These sessions run for approximately two hours across four weeks. A commitment to all four sessions is required to participate. This series of workshops is limited to 8 parents and careers. Please email Sarah directly to reserve a place to participate.
