Pajama Day
On Friday the 15th of July, our school will be having a pyjama day, to raise money for a new Friendship Seat! Our Friendship Seat is a place students can go when they feel the need for help, comfort, or support. Other children and staff recognise this as a sign that the student needs a friend to talk to. If you can, please bring along a gold coin donation ($1 or $2), which will go towards revamping the seat. The Friendship Seat was designed and introduced to the yard in 2016, by a group of 5/6 students who worked on developing inclusion within the school. The seat was made by the Essendon’s Men’s Shed. Unfortunately, the original one was damaged by ‘unwelcome’ visitors into the school last year. Our JSC would like to reintroduce the concept of the seat to help students in the yard.
Thanks,
Junior School Council.
