Parliament House visit

Victorian Students' Parliamentary Convention

Last week Avery, Mattisse and Anvi joined the Victorian Students' Parliamentary Convention at Parliament House.  The topic for the day was "Should state or federal governments control education?"  Each participating school put forward their initial responses to this question and then listened to detail arguments for both sides of the argument.  Students entered policy meetings to discuss this matter in light of the new information and then came back to vote.  The whole process was a simulation of a real parliament sitting and provided a great insight into the workings of our government. Check out the photos below, can you see Mattisse standing and presenting our school's point of view.
