Round 7 PSA Wrap-Up

v  Scotch College

Fantastic weather greeted us for our annual Pink Sock round, raising money for the McGrath Foundation. It was great to see all of the 1st teams (and some of the seconds players) wearing their pink socks during their games. Unfortunately this great atmosphere and large crowds couldn’t translate into a 1st team win, although there were some closely fought games in both Soccer and Rugby that went down to the wire. Our 1st XI Soccer team showed tremendous spirit throughout their match and came away with a 3-3 draw against a talented Scotch side.

Well done to the 8B Football, 9B Soccer, and 7A/B Soccer teams for remaining undefeated for the season so far! Our Hockey program also has a bright future, with the 7As scoring a late goal to win 1-0, and the 7Bs winning 4-1 whilst playing without a goalkeeper for the entire match.

Round 8

v Christ Church Grammar

There are only two more rounds this term before the holiday break, with this weeks fixture being a home round against Christ Church. Come down to Waterford on Friday and Saturday to support the boys in the first of our return matches for the second half of the season. Coffee van and sausage sizzle will be on sale throughout Saturday morning.

PSA Live Streaming

The PSA are now live streaming the 1st games for Football, Soccer and Hockey. Rugby will hopefully start to be streamed as well. Streaming can be accessed through the PSA website. Please be aware that there is a small membership fee to view the live stream.

Who has had the most influence on you?

My father has had the most influence in my soccer development as he was my coach throughout my younger years and always attends my matches and provides advice (sometimes wanted, other times not). He taught me the importance of being disciplined and respecting every opponent I play.

What advice would you give to younger students who aim to play First team?

Know your strengths and weaknesses in your game play, utilise your strengths regularly and work even harder to improve your weaknesses. Hard work is more important than just pure talent.

What is your favourite Trinity memory?

Playing my First game for 1st XI  Soccer.
