Will and Xavier's Footy Success

Last week as Year 10 student William Akec and Year 12 student Xavier Walsh were officially presented with their state football jumpers to be part of the State 16s Academy Squad. The squad will play a trial game against the West Perth Colts next month, before traveling to Adelaide later this month to compete in their opening match against South Australia.

TC Old Boys Jedd Busslinger ('21) and Josh Draper ('21) were too presented their jumpers on the night for the State 18s squad.

...And more Footy Success!

The football success continues with Year 10 students Marcus Cassidy and Cole Trinder who were recently been selected in the 2022 State Schoolboys AFL 15s team! The boys will be off to play in the School Sport Australia National Championships in Lavington, NSW. Well done and good luck!

James is off to the Table Tennis Championships

Year 7 student James Ho has been busy competing in Table Tennis championships where he recently finished in 5th place at the National Hopes Challenge in Melbourne back in April! The challenge is open for all competitors 12 years old and under, where they also got the chance to part take in a 4-day training camp.

Although part of the U13 age category, James has been selected to compete the WA State U15s team where he will represent WA in the National Junior Table Tennis Championships in Queensland next month. This is a fantastic achievement and we wish you all the best.

Gold, Silver & Bronze for Matthew

Year 12 student Matthew Roberts has just returned from a successful National Gymnastics Championship. Among the worry of contracting COVID while on the Gold Coast, and the general worry of a competition, and his coach getting COVID the day before the competition, Matthew still managed to come away with some impressive medals placing:

  • 3rd - All Around
  • 2nd - Parallel Bars
  • 1st - High Bar & Rings

This is an amazing achievement especially considering he was under the supervision of a coach he had never met, let alone competed with. Matthew has been invited to attend a National Training Camp for gymnastics in Canberra in Week 10 in pursuit of his dreams. Congratulations Matthew!
