(2018 Ski Trip) Year 7 leave for their Ski Trip next week!
HSC Trials: Next week our Year 12 students and Year 11 Accelerants commence their HSC trials and we pray that they are able to put forward their very best efforts and remain calm and capable. We ask for God’s blessing on them and their studies.
Lord, as I face the Trial HSC, send me Your Holy Spirit for guidance,
enlightenment and inspiration.
Grant me CLARITY OF MIND so that I may be able to recall well and apply correctly all of the things that I have learned and studied.
Grant me a PEACEFUL and CALM DISPOSITION before and during the examinations so that I may be able to smartly tackle the exam and use efficiently the time allotted for preparing my answers, not being hindered by any anxiety that may stifle my performance.
Grant me CONFIDENCE to face each question of the exam without any hesitation and fear.
Grant me HUMILITY to accept whatever will be the result of this exam.
Lord, I know that I have reviewed well and prepared for this exam.
Help me, through Your Divine Providence, to do well in these examinations.
I will do my best in this endeavour, mindful of the gifts that You have bestowed upon me and the privilege to study so that I may live a life for your greater glory.
Next week also sees our Year 7 students go on their Ski Trip. This major camp is a significant undertaking and I particularly thank Mr Stollery and the Year 7 Pastoral Team who have planned and coordinated this major opportunity for our Year 7 students.
It is with deep appreciation that I thank the staff accompanying the Year 7 students: Ms Amanda O’Brien, Mr Paul Formosa, Mr Marcel Kennedy, Ms Annie Bryant, Ms Janelle Dempsey, Mr Matt Stearn, Mr Justin Donnelly, Mr Paul Donovan, Ms Francis Doyle, Mr Greg Virgona, Mr Joe Lynch, Mr Rick Russo and Mr Phil Stollery.
This Friday is Census Day for all schools and it emphasises the need for all absences to be explained by parents and supported by email or letter. Parents are asked to always ensure that absences are advised to the school via either the portal, an email to studentmanagement@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au or by leaving a phone voicemail on 9411 4733.
Years 7-10 "Celebration of Learning"
These Awards will be presented this Friday in the The Concourse at Chatswood. The College has a strong tradition of recognising student achievement in their studies whether it be their academic performance, improvements in achievement or cocurricular contributions. We encourage and pursue achievement and I congratulate all award winners.
Our special guest for the Academic Awards is Dr Steven Williams. Dr Williams graduated from the College in 2009 and is an esteemed student of Science and Medicinal Chemistry who is currently working in research.
The names of Award winners can be found below, and next week we will include photos of the occasion.
