Football
Dear Parents and Players,
Well done to all the victorious teams on the weekend. The Team of the Week would be the 15As who continue to dominate their opposition.
With two tough final rounds against Oakhill and St Patrick’s it is important that all teams train hard and play well to assure themselves of a semi final place.
Good luck to all teams this weekend.
An early save the date: The Football Presentation evening will be on Wednesday 4 September.

'Top Commitment'
The first game back after a long break is always a bit “tricky.” It’s made more difficult by the fact that a long journey to Bathurst is needed. So it was more than pleasing to see such a good turnout both at training and in Bathurst. Thanks also to the parents who made the long journey which was much more pleasant in the sunshine.
On the field we had mixed fortunes. Our 14Bs, arguably team of the season to date, began the success with a complete team performance. Lots of ball movement , off-loading and support play.
13BAs and Bs added to the success. In both cases although heavily “outsized” they moved the ball sensibly and tired out bigger opponents. Learning from games you play is so important at a young age. The “penny” sticks with you for life once it drops!
Elsewhere, effort alone failed to bring reward. Great to see three Opens teams take the field. Once again our 1sts got off to a flying start, scoring early in the half, but missed opportunities and unfortunate decisions cost them. Top commitment though.
With lots happening at school over the next two weeks it is important that rugby players don’t lose focus. We have a tough game at home against St Augustine’s, then it’s our main rivals St Pats - Away. Two games to relish and a huge opportunity for all our teams to finish on a winning note!
Make that special effort at training and lay the foundation for a grand finale.

ISA Tennis
Last Saturday our Division 1 team continued their strong gameplay and won against Redlands, 5-3. Congratulations to Riad Lahoud, Victor Lahoud, Declan Langreiter and Tom Garrett. Division 2 also won, playing against Chevalier College, and Division 5 won against Barker.
With only two more rounds of this competition left, there are a few of our teams are shaping up to be strong contenders to make their way into the Finals.
This weekend our teams will be playing against St Andrews Cathedral College and Barker. Please check the draw below.
