School Captains

School Council Captains Report

So far this year as school captains we have hosted two assemblies and attended many weekly meetings. This has allowed us to share our thoughts and ideas with all the school captains and SRC leaders. Our Term 1 assembly was successful and we also prepared and run the ANZAC ceremony early this term. We received great feedback for our efforts. Some of the content for the ANZAC assembly was challenging and required some practice, but we worked really well together and felt confident in the end.

A large focus for the Year 9’s this term has been planning for Year 10. We have participated in an online careers test which presented us with an idea for a possible future career based on where our strengths lie. Then we all had the opportunity to meet with a careers counsellor who discussed our results with us. The year 9’s really enjoyed having this great opportunity and it was a popular talking point for us all.

The year 8’s and 9’s just finished their first lot of exams for the year. Students were nervous and stressed but we all know it is great practice for future exams.

The year 7’s and 8’s went on camp to Forest Edge and from all reports they had an amazing time with great weather. They really enjoyed the bush walk and hanging out with their friends outside of school.

The year 5’s and 6’s have been busy with their interschool sports that they participate in weekly on a Friday morning. The Year 5’s and 6’s have enjoyed writing poems this term and working on projects in Science and Humanities.
