Foundation and 'The Lion King'
The Foundation children are getting so excited about participating in their first school musical production.
Kate Kennedy has worked so hard to prepare the children for their song, costumes and dance. we thank her for all her patience, time and effort.
The next time you pass the Foundation classroom just have a look at all the Lion Kings that are waiting outside the classroom door!
What a wonderful experience for all the children at St James.
We can't wait!
'Playing From the Heart' by Peter Reynolds
This week in Foundation we have been exploring our creative musical selves with the beautiful story 'Playing from the Heart’ by Peter Reynolds.
Children have been working with tuned and untuned percussion instruments to create a tune. They have enjoyed musical performances by Charlotte and Lucinda who learn the piano with Sharon each week. After this, children were asked to 'have a go' at creating a tune on the piano which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Some children had never had the experience of playing a piano and using the keys and pedals.
Foundation enjoyed 'playing from the heart' this week.
Wobbly Tooth Club
Attention all tooth fairies!
A large number of Foundation children have very wobbly teeth and are expecting a visit from you soon.
These children all have wobbly teeth and some of them have been praying for their teeth during class prayer time.
I’m sure the tooth fairy will be visiting these children very soon.
