Year 9 Art
This week Year 9 Visual Arts students enjoyed a day at Harold Reid Foreshore track in Middle Cove. Students explored the natural beauty of the area, drawing, painting and photographing the mangroves, woodland and open forest areas. Working outside in the natural environment can bring a new set of challenges to art making activities. Students created detailed drawings of various plants and watercolour paintings of panoramic landscapes. Inspired by artist Andy Goldsworthy, some students created works out of leaves, sticks and stones. The students were engaged and inspired by their day out in nature.
