World's Greatest Shave

On Friday 16 March, Cecil Hills High School participated in the World's Greatest Shave.  We would like to say a massive thank you to all the students who shaved or coloured their hair to help beat blood cancer.

You have assisted to provide practical and emotional support to fund vital research that will help save lives! We would also like to say thank you to Linda Qutami for donating her time to shave students' hair during lunchtime. We look forward to passing our donations  to the Leukemia Foundation.

Clean Up Australia

On Monday, 5 March, the SRC participated in the Clean Up Australia Day initiative. Although the weather did not agree, the SRC spent their last period of the day walking around the lake and cleaning up as much as possible. In teams, not only did we collect rubbish, the SRC also collected recyclable materials. It was a fantastic experience to assist our community.

The SRC aims to engage in as many community activities as possible. Stay tuned for the rest of 2018, the SRC has plenty more in store! See your year representative if you have any suggestions.

Valentine's Day

On Wednesday, 14 February, the Student Representative Council (SRC) organised a very successful Valentine's Day Fundraiser which involved selling roses, teddy bears, heart lollies and cringe cards. The highlight of the day were the sing-a-grams which included songs requested by students and staff that were sung by our talented musicians. The money raised will be used to improve our school environment by providing much needed facilities and well-being initiatives that promote a happy and healthy school culture. We would like to thank the students, staff and community for their ongoing support.
