Election Day BBQ

On the 18th of May, the CESC Production crew and the SRC collaborated with Cranbourne East Primary School to run the Democracy Sausage sizzle for election day. From midday until 5pm, members of the SRC and production crew sold sausages to fundraise for both the production and SRC. The stall was busy all day as the election drew people from throughout the community to vote. The production crew students and teachers showed off their talents via karaoke of all of the songs that will be performed in the school production ‘We Will Rock You’. Both the students and teachers worked hard all day to prepare and serve sausages and soft drinks to our local community members. All involved dedicated their Saturday to supporting and working towards whole-school events whilst engaging with the local community. The experience was positive, and all participants succeeded in not only raising funds, but also in collaborating with the primary school and production crew to promote our school, production and SRC. Thank you to Ms Latchford, Ms Grey, Ms Hassan and Mr Donnelly for helping us out on the day.

Whole school assembly

Our first whole school assembly for 2019 began with an introduction from the Principal Ms Strickland. This was followed by the inauguration of all of the captains and year level representatives. School captains then introduced the sports leader Mr Cousins, who reported back on the swimming sports and regional sports outcomes. Mr Allender went over the RGAR awards and the new badges that will be awarded to students as they accumulate more points. Points are awarded for taking our school values seriously and demonstrating them. VCAL students gave a presentation show casing all the achievements and projects that they have begun for term 1. The assembly finished off with an amazing performance by Jessica Cranston who sang the song ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
