GOOOOO St. Finbar’s – DISTRICT ATHLETICS

Wishing our team of 80 students all the very best for tomorrow as they participate in the Dendy District Athletics carnival at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. It’s been so pleasing to see the dedication & enthusiasm from the team with a large number of team members attending the 6.50am & 7.40am training sessions! A HUGE thank you to our supportive parents & past student: Ashley Simmons, Craig Furber, Mark Barling, Adam Henry & Elise Nazaretian, for assisting our track & field training sessions over the past few weeks! We are extremely fortunate to have such supportive & ath’s-experienced families!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

All Athletics team members to arrive to school this Friday 10th by 8.25am. The bus will depart 8.40am sharp!
Students are to wear their school sports uniform, wear their runners & pack lots of warm clothes, jackets, blanket, food, water in their school bag & small extra back-pack if required.
Please refer to the Care Monkey for the Event Schedule for the day if you want to see your child compete. It’s forecasting sunny but EXTREMEMLY windy conditions, so this may mean hurdles & highjump schedules could change (when wind drops, etc). Unfortunately we cannot pre-advise of possible changes.
Students CAN wear compression/tights UNDER their school sports shorts.

The kiosk will be open BUT ONLY parents & staff may utilise this facility.

Students are not allowed to purchase food or drinks, so please don’t send $ with them.

HOOP TIME TRIALS UPDATE

Our Year 5/6’s have now had their 2 trial sessions and teams will be announced next Tuesday to all who tried out.

Next Tuesday (14th) is the final trial for our Year 3 & 4’s.

Please remind your child to take their

sneakers along on their respective trial day.

Year. 5/6: Thursday 30th August

Year. 3/4: Thursday 6th September
