Olympic Torch at Mazenod College 

In 2000, one of our former students Daniel Battison brought the Sydney Olympic torch to the College. He borrowed it from his grandfather John O'Sullivan, a torch relay runner, who was an Australian Olympic Cyclist at the 1956 games. 

Daniel was at the torch relay which took place along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road and witnessed his grandfather passing the Olympic flame to Blue Heelers actor, Jane Allsop.
