Art News

Students have been enthusiastically exploring the underwater world in Art! They have been looking at the works of famous Australian artist, Ken Done, and how through his brush stroke techniques, is able to create vibrant pieces of art.

Our Grade Prep and Grade 1 students have been using their fine motor and construction skills to create jellyfish. Using a combination of painting, cutting and gluing, students are mid-way through their creations.

Our students from Grade 2 through to Grade 6 have been developing their sketching skills, as they create their own version of our famous coral reef. Using their choice of underwater creatures, students are currently in the planning, drafting and editing phase of their artworks. Next week, they will use oil pastels to bring their coral reefs to life!

It has been wonderful to see the creativity our students are bringing to their artworks. From boat anchors, to mermaids, these coral reefs have it all!
