Shepparton Connected Community Fund Grants Evening
On Wednesday 13th June Kasey Sullivan, Dave Mallari and LA Calinao performed their solo repertoire at the Bank of Bendigo in Shepparton. Last year the cluster music program was fortunate enough to receive a grant from the Shepparton Community Fund. This year we were asked to return to showcase the work some of the students have achieved. A huge congratulations to Kasey, Dave and LA who gave up their time to support the evening. In fact they opened up the evening to a very appreciative audience who were delighted with their playing.
The Tatura Art Show
On Saturday 9th June (over the long weekend), Alice Bapty, Chloe Vickery- Salter and Sarah Phillingham provided relaxing background music on flute during Saturday afternoon. The general public browsed at the art work as well as enjoying a Devonshire tea whilst listening to the flute ensemble.
Another highlight of the afternoon was Kamali Lamba singing and playing her guitar. Kamali is becoming a well known performer around the area with her busking and regular gigs.
A very big thankyou to all the girls who gave up their time. The MSC department quite often get asked to support local events and we are always proud of the efforts of our students.
Mooroopna Rotary Presidents Function
On Saturday 23rd June, at Emerald Bank, the Senior Jazz Band have a 4 hour gig providing music for the entire evening. Every year we head down to Mooroopna Rotary’s Monday night meetings to entertain the club. We will be providing pre dinner, dinner and dance music for the Presidents Change-Over function.
The SJB students will be provided dinner during the evening and we will also use the money from this gig to help out with our future Tour.
