MLC Camp

Reflections from Camp

Please enjoy Ryan's reflection from the MLC camp in Anglesea. Thank you to Mrs Maher, Mr Brophy and Signora for taking such wonderful care of the children while they were away.

At camp, I had a very good time. We started the day with a tour, we saw the nature garden and I thought to myself, this would be a good place to go when I have free time (down time). Then we saw the gaga pit. I didn't understand it at the start but then I understood it was like dodgeball but you have to roll it. Then we saw the dining room, it was like the dining room in a huge mansion. We went back to our meeting room and had lunch. We then saw our cabins. It was wonderful.
We then had our first activity. It was the vertical challenge. It was like a climbing frame. I climbed the whole thing. I had a wonderful time climbing. Then we did archery. I got the bullseye.
Then we had dinner. It was very yummy. My favourite was desert, we had ice cream.
My favourite was night time because I got to sleep with my friends.
I had a fun time. I wish I could go again!

Archery, Signora was very pleased with her results.

The children enjoyed a bonfire after a big day of activities. Mrs Maher brought marshmallows for the children to roast.

After a big day, all the children snuggled up to watch Cheaper By the Dozen. A few even fell asleep after what had been a huge day.

We were so impressed by the bravery of all the children to try so many of the activities. We have lots of future rock climbing enthusiasts amongst our MLC.

The Giant Swing was a highlight for all the children.
