Technology Teacher

There is currently an advertised position open, at Edenhope College for a Teacher of Technology. It attracts an incentive payment to the successful applicant. We are looking for a person across all ranges of hands on technology, wood, metal, auto etc. The value to the students would be immense and we hope to have the position filled by the end of the 2021 school year.

Most other things are in place for staffing 2022, with the Agriculture position filled. We are looking forward to building the Ag presence across all year levels and also developing the school farm. Teacher and local farmer Jane Francis (Coojar), will head the Ag department with Annabel Hawkins working alongside. 

Student Engagement

It is great to have excursions, camps and all other activities back on within the learning environment. Last Tuesday saw the Year 7/8s head to Horsham for a basketball and tennis tournament. When I took the students up in the school 24 seater, I noticed the bus hadn’t been used since mid July. Hopefully we can look forward to things getting back to normal. The students I coached (Year 7/8 girls combined Edenhope/Balmoral basketball side), played well, winning one and losing one game. Mr Walker coached the boys basketball and Miss Coventry coached the tennis team. Fun was had by all and we look forward to these events continuing.

There have been plenty of other activities as well for students. A big thanks to Alana Ryan who led the project involving students from our primary and secondary school. Also thanks to Mr Frost, Mrs Francis and the Rainsford family who were all involved in making the activity into a successful event.

Was great to catch up and have a chat with Tom and Oscar McDonald who were home visiting family!

Other things on the go!

The Awards Night and Primary concert will be virtual this year, release dates to be confirmed. 

Santa will touch base with students.
