Library News

Where are your Library books?

Do you know where the Library books are that you (your children) have borrowed this year? We are asking students to have a good look at home and school to find any books they may have borrowed from the Library. It is quite likely that they will find it hard to remember what they may have borrowed as we have had a year of being at home learning and then at school and then back at home.

Numerous lockdowns and extended periods of Remote Learning in 2021 have not allowed students to access the Library regularly to borrow and return books. There are now many books which have been borrowed during the year that need to find their way back to the Library.

We would really appreciate your help in finding any books borrowed from the Library and getting your children to return them to us.

Library Lessons

To finish the year in our Library lessons, we are looking at the College theme ‘Created in God’s Image’. While this is a challenging concept, we have many stories new to the Library this year which are about how each of us is special and unique. Students are working towards a shared class collage to show that while each of them is different they are complementary as a group. One of our stories this week is Reggie Red by Josie Layton about a girl who is worried about school photos because of her wild red hair.

The other story is The very first you by Scott Stuart which celebrates all the ways we are unique but connected from our hearts to our taste in food.
